A coronation commemorative Russian Imperial enamelled cup, made to celebrate the coronation of Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna. The initials are the royal couple's cyphers, and on the opposite side is an imperial double eagle. Often referred to as the "Cup of Sorrows" or blood cup. The nickname comes form the unfortunate incident in the Khodinka Field.
This commemorative cup was issued in 1896. Condition: heavy enamel loss to the cup, to the rim, and to the bottom Size: 4 1/4"x 3 3/4" (105 mm x 95 mm).
