Medal for the 1759 Victory at Kunersdorf also known as the Seven Years War, silver, 39mm. The medal was created during the reign of Empress Elizabeth I of Russia to commemorate the victory of the Russian and Austrian forces upon the army of Fredrick II, King of Prussia.
The obverse of the silver medal shows the bust of Elizabeth I facing right with the circumscription signifying: "By the grace of God Elizabeth I Empress and Autocrat of All Russias". The reverse shows an allergoric scene of the battlefield with the figure of a warrior holding the Russian Imperial Flag. Above there is an inscription meaning: "To the victor", and at the bottom the inscription signifying: "Over the Prussians 1 August 1759".
The signature of the engraver is placed under the bust of the Empress: "TIMOFEI I.R."
Ribbon is St. Andrews.
