Large Cloisonne Enamel Spoon |
Large Russian gilded silver and enamel spoon, the interior of the bowl inscribed: "St.Petersburg". Marked for Moscow manufacture between 1896 and 1908, with 84 silver standard and asseyer mark "I.L", for Ivan Lebedkin and "G.?", probably for Gustav Klingert. Double striked, second initial unclear. The scrolling foliate enamel design against, a stippled gilded ground is surrounded by, a row of white enamel pellets. Additional enamel designs decorate the spiral twist handle. Length: 7.0",or 17.5 cm. Good condition, some minor enamel loss on twist handle, original and rare.
