In various years up to and including World War I, private funds were solicited for the benefit of the Air Force. This Russian Imperial Jetton was instituted on February 3,1912 with the inscription: "IMPERIAL SPECIAL COMMITTEE FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF THE AIR FORCE".
This jetton in silver and pale blue enamel, and marked with Russian Imperial silver 84 standard, and maker in cyrillic "VA". Size: 30.5 x 22.6mm. Condition: slight enamel damage to the scroll. Original and unique.
